This 20 window shroud project exemplifies our in-house design, manufacturing, and finishing capabilities, all proudly carried out from our Sydney-based factory and delivered with care to the school site in South Australia.
A Custom Take on a Proven Standard
The window hoods installed at Cardijn College are a customised variation of our durable 3mm Aluminium Trendline Window Hood system. Designed to offer shading and architectural impact, the Trendline range is known for its clean lines, engineered strength, and versatility.
For this project, our team worked closely with stakeholders to deliver a bespoke result, incorporating both vibrant colours to fit with the school’s identity, and structural reliability tailored to the site’s unique aesthetic and environmental demands.
Engineering Confidence: Finite Element Analysis
Before installation, the window shrouds underwent Finite Element Analysis (FEA)¹, a powerful 3D computer modelling method that predicts how the product will behave under specific stressors, such as wind loads and wind deflection. This process ensures compliance with performance standards and long-term durability, especially in open or elevated environments like school campuses.
Built to Last: Premium Materials & Finish
The shrouds are fabricated from 3mm premium grade aluminium, with strategically placed stiffened joins and folded sections that enhance tensile strength while maintaining a sleek, contemporary appearance.
Each window shroud was finished in-house using our multi-stage chrome-free immersion pre-treatment process, followed by vibrant powder coating in a range of custom colours. This finish ensures optimal surface adhesion and exceptional resistance to the harsh Australian climate. As with all our powder-coated window shroud products, these hoods are backed by a 10-year warranty for peace of mind.
