Manufactured from 6mm aluminium ideally suited to minimalist aesthetic architectural intent, our recent Modline sun hood project in Vaucluse features a slim blade like profile.
The unique look includes a slim profile sunhood integrated with surrounding gyprock walls and cladding to create a fine, aesthetically pleasing minimal edge-to-edge finish to the home.
The sunhood provides shade and protection from weather to the surrounding balcony and windows. The aspect-driven design provides functional sun and weather mitigation.
This Vaucluse Modline 6mm sunhood is suited to high wind areas.
Material
Aluminium¹ is the ideal corrosion-resistant choice for sunhoods fitted to homes and premises located in ocean-side suburbs such as Vaucluse in Sydney.
Colour
We in-house powder coated the sunhood in grey to match the colour scheme and create an edgeless finish with the surrounding gyprock. Our four-stage chrome-free immersion pre-treatment process, ensures that our powder coatings adhere seamlessly to the sunhood’s surface while minimising environmental impact.
Configuration
The Vaucluse Modline sunhood was configured flush to the ceiling with multiple panels to achieve the desired sun mitigation, privacy control and striking architectural aesthetics.
The maximum Modline single panel length is 3m, however utilising our exclusive joining and corner extrusions we can configure Modline for almost any installation.
In keeping with minimalist ideology, we laser welded the exclusive corner extrusion to the upper and lower horizontal panels to form a visually pleasing screw‑free union.
